White Satin

Nights in white satin,
Never reaching the end,
Letters I've written,
Never meaning to send.

Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I can't say anymore.

'Cause I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you.

Gazing at people,
Some hand in hand,
Just what I'm going through,
They can't understand.

Some try to tell me
Thoughts they cannot defend,
Just what you want to be
You will be in the end,

And I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you.
Oh, how, I love you.

Nights in white satin,
Never reaching the end,
Letters I've written,
Never meaning to send.

Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before,
Just what the truth is
I can't say anymore.

'Cause I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you.
Oh, how, I love you.

'Cause I love you,
Yes, I love you,
Oh, how, I love you.
Oh, how, I love you.

Music touches your soul, they say. But the shock of it sometimes takes your breath away. A few lyrics bring back memories that the girl thought were, well, buried. But the Dark Shadows never truly go away, do they? The only good part is that the shadows affirm the presence of light. The girl can live with that.

    1. Unfair. You don't even give me a chance to rant about your absence. Unfair, and smart.
Yes, the writing has been on and off. I compose stuff in my head which I am too lazy or too reluctant to type out. Got to rectify that one.
How have you been? What has been keeping you so very busy?

    1. Oh that place. Where all the people love to reach and hate when they have reached it?

How about you write some and I do all that frivolous banter? Urdu, unfortunately, is not my specialty. Any other cues?

Meanwhile, I invite you to browse through the past year's collection in the hopes that it will spark some merry repartee ;)

    1. Urdu not my being specialty does not equate washing my hands off it. 'Akhtar' was special :)

Themes and such scare me, but I will give it a shot if you do. Get that li'l something off your plate soon!
